Still Thursday, about 1:00 p.m.: I have removed the finish below the fingerboard extension (using some orange Safe-Stripper), applied glue to the extension, and bolted and clamped the neck onto the body. I have two cork-lined wood blocks as clamping cauls, one inside underneath the top and the other sitting on top of the extension. I will let it sit for at least an hour before I do anything else (probably what I'll do next is to level and dress the frets, before determining the bridge position). Here it is:

4:00 p.m.: Removed the clamp. Here's where it stands now. After Hannah's last Puppy Class tonight, I'll probably level and dress the frets. Then, tomorrow, I'll tackle locating and gluing the bridge.
