Marking Gauge

This beautiful marking gauge, handmade by my Internet friend, Chee-Heng Yeong, has a walnut fence, maple "wings", lock wedge and beam, and a cherry top. All of the pieces are quarter-sawn and arranged for stability so that the beam and wedge do not get immovably stuck in high humidity. It is a joy to hold and scribe precise lines with. Besides marking gauges such as this one, Chee-Heng also makes bow-saws. He is a photographer, painter, and classical guitar enthusiast. If you would like to contact him (he gave me his permission!), you can email him at hanuman@bdol.com.
